The health of our citizens is of critical concern.  It is our overall goal to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
CDC recommendations to protect yourself & others
1. Wash your hands often
2. Stay Home as much as possible
3. Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others
4. Cover coughs and sneezes
5. Clean and disinfect


Effective May 10, 2021 1. The Parks and Recreation office will be open to the public office hours, Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. You may contact us by phone (981-9206) or email ([email protected]). You may also visit our webpage to help answer questions you may have www.norwalkparks.org. 
2. All park playground equipment, shelters and skate park are open for public use.
3. At this time park open spaces and trails are open including Elizabeth Holland Park.
4. Current athletic programming and recreation programming are open.
5. McAninch Sports Complex is open during regular season.
6. Norwalk Aquatic Center is open during regular season.

We are asking everyone to follow the guidelines from the CDCif you are sick or have symptoms stay home, wash your hands frequently, cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow and wear cloth face coverings.
We will continually monitor the situation with the help of Warren County Health Services, the State of Iowa, the CDC and local emergency services.  We will post updates to this page about any changes to Parks and Recreation events or services that are necessary to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
